It’s February 2nd, which means it’s time to get your groundhog on. What does that mean?
1) Enjoy this adorable image of the Marmota Monax from the digital gallery
2) Watch the movie Groundhog Day, directed by Harold Ramis (who also starred in a classic movie in which NYPL had a supporting role :).
3) Visit the Ephiphany Library where you can enjoy stories and crafts about our four-legged friend.
Although the groundhog predictions have been mixed, we’ll stand by our local prognosticator, Charles G. Hogg of Staten Island, who welcomes spring early this year. But whether we have six more weeks of winter, or a springtime thaw around the corner, you’ll be prepared for all the groundhog has to offer!
